AC20 IP20 1.5kW/4A 400V Size 2 AC drive C3 filter

The advanced compact AC20 drive is a highly functional yet economical solution for general motor control applications in the 1.5 kW to 180 kW range. The AC20 offers open loop speed or torque control for AC induction or PMAC motors, and with the optional encoder feedback card fitted, closed loop vector control for AC induction motors.

The AC20 is packed with features normally associated only with system drivers, including two IO/feedback expansion card slots, Safe Torque Off and a built-in Ethernet port that supports most industrial Ethernet protocols, including ProfiNet and Ethernet IP as standard. Additional user-installable communication cards are also available.

Software features:

- Profinet IO and Ethernet IP protocols as standard, through the built-in Ethernet port.

- Winding machine function block: Diameter calculation, inertia compensation, torque calculation and taper are combined to create speed and torque control winding functions.

- Catching a spinning load - "fly-catching": The fan control algorithms allow the AC20 to detect when a fan is spinning freely and regain control of it before it runs at the set speed.

- PID control: Multiple PID control loops can be programmed to monitor process variables and adjust the motor speed accordingly to achieve the desired variable setpoint.

- Essential services (fire mode): If the fire mode is selected via digital input, the inverter runs continuously at the maximum programmed speed and ignores all other control signals and alarm conditions.

- Energy optimisation: Under constant speed conditions, the motor's power waveforms are optimised by the drive to reduce the motor's energy consumption without compromising performance.

- Skip frequencies: Up to four speed and frequency bands can be programmed to avoid resonance points on the load, reducing vibration, wear and noise.

Parker's Drive System Explorer (DSE) Lite drive configuration software is an easy-to-use drive configuration software package designed to make programming your application as simple as possible without compromising functionality.

DSE Lite is based around a simple block programming and an intuitive user interface that supports user-defined configurations and offers real-time monitoring and graphing. DSE Lite allows the user to create, parameterise and configure user-defined applications as well as parameterise and connect fixed motor control blocks with up to 200 "links".

Thanks to the online help and pre-configured macro templates, users can achieve optimal drive system configuration without having to navigate through complicated parameter menus.
